{"id":291,"date":"2026-09-07T13:41:00","date_gmt":"2026-09-07T10:41:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ycaf.kalamata.gr\/dilosi-prosvasimotitas\/"},"modified":"2026-09-10T12:04:00","modified_gmt":"2026-09-10T09:04:00","slug":"accessibility-statement","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ycaf.kalamata.gr\/en\/accessibility-statement\/","title":{"rendered":"Accessibility Statement"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Municipality of Kalamata<\/strong> is committed to making the website ycaf.kalamata.gr accessible, in accordance with <strong>Law 4727\/2020<\/strong> (Chapter H, Articles 36\u201347), which transposed into Greek law <strong>Directive (EU) 2016\/2102<\/strong> on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This accessibility statement applies to the website [<a href=\"https:\/\/ycaf.kalamata.gr\/en\/\"><strong>https:\/\/ycaf.kalamata.gr<\/strong><\/a>], in all of its language versions (Greek and English).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. <strong>Compliance Status<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The website is <strong>fully compliant<\/strong> with <strong>ELOT EN 301 549 V3.2.1<\/strong> and the <strong>Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. <strong>Non-accessible Content<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2.1 <strong>Content Outside the Scope of Application<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>application submission link<\/strong> directs users to an <strong>external platform<\/strong> that is not owned or operated by the Municipality of Kalamata and therefore does not fall within the scope of this statement. The Municipality has requested that the provider ensure a corresponding level of accessibility.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>PDF files<\/strong> that may be published and that <strong>were published before 23 September 2018<\/strong> are outside the scope of application, in accordance with Article 37 of Law 4727\/2020. The files published as part of this programme are subsequent to that date and <strong>are required to be accessible<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. <strong>What Has Been Ensured<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the review, it was confirmed that the website:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Specifies the <strong>language<\/strong> of each page in its code, so that screen readers can render it correctly, in <strong>both<\/strong> language versions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provides <strong>alternative text for all content images<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provides a <strong>\u201cSkip to content\u201d<\/strong> link, allowing keyboard users to bypass the navigation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Follows a <strong>proper heading hierarchy<\/strong> (one level-one heading per page, with a logical sequence of subordinate heading levels).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provides an <strong>accessible name for all buttons<\/strong> and interactive elements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Uses a <strong>responsive layout<\/strong>, without horizontal scrolling on mobile devices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. <strong>Preparation of This Statement<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This statement was prepared on <strong>03\/09\/2026<\/strong> and was last reviewed on <strong>09\/09\/2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Method:<\/strong> self-assessment by the Municipality of Kalamata, based on a technical audit of the website against the WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criteria.
